Robin at the Pancake Rocks

I am standing at the overview of a famous blowhole. Trust me. I've seen pictures. The blowhole should be flinging a geyser dramatically high above my head behind me. Alas, conditions were wrong. However, without big surf & high tide, there's nothing blowing up the hole. No high surf--no dramatic geyser. Too bad.

If you look more closely at the rocks, you can see how they got their name "Pancake Rocks." Local literature claims these rocks are unique to this site and mystify scientists as to how they were formed. I seriously doubt both the uniqueness and the mystery.
